Just a quick note to let everyone know that I do build Computers and I have been building them since 1995. I'm not an expert as I don't do this everyday, but I do know a lot. I have built all of my desktop systems, including a Windows Home Server. I've got 4 other built PCs in the house. The only PC I didn't build was my laptop.
PC Spezialist is by far one of the best places to get parts around here. I hate waiting for shipping but sometimes you have to. Newegg has been getting higher on my overall list compared to tigerdirect. One thing I have noticed is that you cannot buy a PCI 5ghz wireless card anywhere in Germany. That part I did have to order from newegg. I'll explain this setup in the networking section.

I'm a little late on posting on this discussion. However, I'd like to say that I've been a die hard AMD fan since the old Intel PIII days. I've used a couple of the newer processors, mainly the i5, with the exception of one instance of the i7. Currently in my system I'm using the AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE. It's a beast factory clocked at 3.4ghz currently overclocked to 4.2ghz with stock cooling and only a 2degree increase. I wouldn't trade my AMD for an i7, the price for performance is well in AMD's favor. Granted Intel released their "hexa-core" chip prior to AMD, AMD now has their 6 core chips out as well. Personally I've seen no use for a 6 core chip as all I mostly due is play games. If I were a CAD student or even into graphics design than I would definitely look into both sides of the processor world. But, as it stands cost per performance, AMD has got it.
