Where to get computer parts. 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 2
I posted this topic in the PC builders group but wanted to share it with everyone as well.

I get my computer parts from a few different places, including the Power Zone. Usually AAFES Power Zone is over priced but you can find a good deal from time to time. Sometimes I order my parts online from http://www.newegg.com and http://www.tigerdirect.com. Both companies ship to APO addresses, but shipping cost has got a little high so you have to pay attention to the total shipping cost. I also buy my parts at a local store in Kaiserslautern call PC-SPEZIALIST http://www.pcspezialist.de/kaiserslautern/. They accept credit cards, and you can use a VAT form to get the 19% tax off. Click here to get directions to PC Spezialist

If you know of a good, or better place to get Computer parts, please let us know.

I think Newegg is by far your best bet for ordering parts but another option I would suggest is Amazon.com they also ship to APO/FPO.

I just shop around and see which place offers the best price.

Newegg.com use to be the place I would go to for 90% of my PC parts, but sometimes I could find better deals over TigerDirect. The thing I have found now is that with shipping costs so high, that sometimes it's a lot cheaper on the economy specially if you can use a VAT form to get the taxes taken off. I've had problems with Amazon. I would find something cheaper and then go to try and purchase just to get notified that they don't ship to APO AE. There are a lot of electronic parts that Amazon can no longer ship to APO AE addresses. Sometimes you can get lucky though with Amazon. Bottom line is that hopefully after you have read this thread you will now know where you can get your PC parts. Shop around, and find out what's the best deal, and if you order from an online store in the States, make sure you add the shipping costs to the overall price. I just hope everyone can find a way to save some money with this info.
