Hi I'm having issues with my toshiba laptop. It loads fine but about 10-20 mins after its up and running its almost like it goes to sleep. The screen completely shuts down and the only way to get it working again is to restart the whole thing.
I'm sure you can imagine how frustrating this is. If i'm working on something its lost. I've checked all the settings and the hibernation and sleep are turned off, but the screen still turns off when it wants. Whats strange is after I do the restart it usually wont do it again. If any one has any suggestions I would be grateful....

Thank you!

Oh I have also restored it to out of box condition but this did not solve the issue.

My first guess is that the processor is overheating or the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is overheating or having problems. Does this happen when you run a certain program? Some programs, even web based ones like flash games use up a lot of processor speed and can also cause the Computer Processing Unit (CPU) to work very hard. Now the internal fans should be helping to keep the CPU and GPU cool but if it is not working, this could also be causing the problem. If the internal fan is working, but it's still warm where you have the computer, you may want to try and get one of those cooling pads for laptops. They have fans on the bottom to keep the laptop cool. If the internal fan isn't working, then you will need to get the laptop fan replaced. If you live in the Ramstein Kaiserslautern area, I can do this for you. If not you will have to take it to your local computer store to have them do the repair unless it is still under warranty, in which case you will need to send it to Toshiba for them to repair.

This is the best answer I can give you from what I know of what you posted. Hopefully this helps but if you have other issues, or know of other problems, let me know.
