If you have a slow computer, one of the issues my be that your hard drvie is fragmented. This basically means that the files are scattered all over the place, like a puzzle with the pieces scattered across the table. In order for the computer to run a program it has to first find all the pieces of the file it needs to run, put it together, and then it can run it. One of the things you can do to speed things up, is to put the puzzle together or at least put the pieces closer together so that it is faster to find the pieces and put the puzzle together. To do this with a computer we use a defrag program. Windows has one built in, but I don't care for it as it normally requires that you don't use the computer for a while. The program I use and which is higly recommended by companies like PC Magazine and CNET, is Smart Defrag from IObit. You can get it on their site,
http://iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.html. The nice thing about this software, is that you can have it run in the background constantly keeping your hard drive degragmented, which means it will usually run faster all the time and won't slow down over time. Give it a try and let me know what you think. In case you don't like that program, you may want to also try MyDefrag. I don't use it but I have heard good things about it. You can get it here,
