Flash Player Problems 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 2
I was just asked about a flash player issue over e-mail. It appears that a user is unable to view a flash file on a particular site. This user has uninstalled and installled adobe flash and they are still having problems. So how do we fix this issue? First we need to see if flash is working at all. A great way to do that is by going to a site like youtube.comor vimeo.com that publishes their video in a format the flash uses. You could also go to the Adobe site here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/ and see if your flash is working. If it is not working, try to uninstall flash and re-install it. Make sure you close your web browsers before you do it. If this does not work, you may have a problem with your graphics card, processor, or more likely a driver issue. If you have done the above and can't get it to work, try updating your graphics drvier. In most cases this should solve your issue.

Now if your flash is working on the Adobe site, YouTube, or Vimeo, but not on other sites, or if it just works on the Adobe site, then you may have to delete your cookies including flash cookies. Most people know where to find the web browser cookies, but don't realize that deleting these don't delete your flash cookies. To delete your flash cookies, go to the Adobe Flash player help site here: www.macromedia.com/support/documentation...tings_manager07.html
On this page you should see the below image.

When you go to this site, you should see this image which allows you to change your flash player settings as well as delete your flash cookies. It doesn't state that they are cookies, but sites. You could delete each one seperatly or delete them all. Once you have deleted the cookies in the flash player and in your web browser, close the browser and open it back up. Try going to the site you had problems with and now it should work.

Another issue with flash is that is is processor intensive witch means that you need a good CPU to view flash files, and a decent graphics card. Also, when you open a flash file in full screen, it will use more CPU processes than if you had it in smaller resolution. So if you can view the file in a small screen but not when you try full screen, then your problem is most likely due to your hardware like your CPU or Graphics card not able to handle the file. I would love to hear your comments, and please let me know if this has helped you to solve your Flash problems. If not, let me try to help. Post your issue and I will try to solve it. Thanks.
