This is exactly what you need to extend your wireless range. This will work great and is an excellent product. All you need to do is plug it into power, and the rest is done wireless.

In order for the repeater to work, you must set it up using the same SSID and password as your router. You also need to go into the repeater first and provide it with your routers information so that it can connect to your router. Once it connects to your router if the SSID and password is correct, it should work. I have a feeling that the repeater is not set up correctly. It does not work by just turning it on. It must be configured first, and must be configured to securely communicate with your router. Make sure you read all the documentation on how to set up the repeater. The one you have is an excellent device and should work just fine. If you bought it used, you may wish to set it to manufacturer default settings before you configure it. It should be in the documentation on how to do this, but it normally just consists of holding down the reset button for a count of 30 seconds or so. You may have to remove the power cable while you are doing this, but your documentation should have specific procedures.

I follow the instructions step by step and it didn't work.
Now something that you metion is ths SSID, what is that? is that the name of my network? I called "home". I have two options to set the repeater, one is automatically which is once it found my network i just click next, the second option is doing it manual in which it asks me for the password and the SSID, i didn't select that option because i'm not sure about the SSID.
This what i do...
enter the installation CD in my computer, I select settings, the computer found my wireless network, the installation asked me if this is correct, i select yes and continue but then once it begins looking for the repeater, it disconnect my wireless network (how do i know this?)my green icon indicator at the bottom of my computer become red which mean i don't have wireless conection anymore. Then it gives me the messsage "repeater is not found, make sure that it's plug and turn on" which it is.
if you have time, could you let me know if you can call me, if not then tomorrow.
I will contribute to your funds...
thanks
